With this work, I continue my research on the distance separating a work of performance art from its audience. Wearing a real chair on my shoulders, leaving only my head visible through an opening in the middle of its seat, I become a live trap for playful party people who want to take things a bit further than usual. I begin to walk among the euphoric guests, once a victim is chosen, the Chair stops in front of them and kneels down. I try to look into the eyes of his chosen object, then to convince them to sit on my wonderful chair with spread legs. Most of the victims are easy to get to. But as they quickly come to understand, the toy between their legs isn’t that safe. After getting dangerously close to my sharp tongue over the course of a very light-hearted conversation, most of the victims realize they are trapped. I then attempt to stand up and car- ry the victim away. After a short interval, I reappear, walking around in search of a new victim.
